The conference programme has always been an important part of EXPO REAL.
However, in the past three years in particular, some events have been extremely well attended. This is because exchange and orientation are particularly in demand in difficult times.
An extensive programme took place on nine stages and in numerous conference rooms. The programme included panel discussions and presentations by and with well-known experts from the sector, academics from other fields and representatives of the younger generation - sometimes controversial, but often constructive.

EXPO REAL FORUM
Informative, innovative, international: the EXPO REAL FORUM, with programs in both English and German, focuses on the evolving real estate business. Discussions and lectures provide insights and opportunities for exchanging ideas on current problems, but also on perspectives for the future. Topics include investment strategies, housing, data centers, AI in the real estate industry, sustainable financing, cryptocurrencies, climate risks, geopolitics, Germany as a business location, international comparisons and much more.
PLANNING & PARTNERSHIPS FORUM
This forum´s focus: hotel, logistics, and office properties. In the presentations and discussions, the challenges of the asset classes will be addressed in order to find strategies and solutions in exchange. In addition, new job profiles and future requirements for employers and young professionals will be presented in order to promote the sustainable development of the industry.
DISCUSSION & NETWORKING FORUM / EXHIBITOR STAGE
The DISCUSSION & NETWORKING FORUM and the EXHIBITOR STAGE serve as a versatile lecture and discussion platforms on all aspects of the real estate industry.
GRAND PLAZA STAGE
At the GRAND PLAZA – our retail marketplace – the focus will be on expansion-oriented retailers, project developers, investors, as well as cities and their representatives. The top-notch GRAND PLAZA STAGE will provide expert information and discussions relating to the transformation of city centers and retail issues.
TECH TALK STAGE
The TECH TALK STAGE is an area hosting innovative showcases and debates. It offers tech companies and start-ups an open space for presenting new perspectives on the topics of ESG, innovation and digitalization. The TECH TALK STAGE will be located in Hall B2 for the first time this year. This will specifically promote exchange and collaboration between innovators and the real estate industry.
DECARB ARENA
The decarbonization that is required in order to achieve the 1.5 degree goal demands the joint efforts of cities and real estate companies to implement climate-neutral projects in the future or to modernize the existing building stock in a climate-optimized way. These are the focal points of the DECARB ARENA, located at Transform & Beyond by EXPO REAL.
TRANSFORM & BEYOND STAGE
The TRANSFORM & BEYOND STAGE deals with the future topics of the real estate industry. This is where visionaries come together to shed light on the key challenges and opportunities facing the real estate industry in the face of regulatory requirements such as the EU taxonomy and the Green Deal.
CareerDay
The CareerDay on the third day of the fair provides insights and outlooks into the professional world of the real estate industry and thrives on constructive discussions about the future requirements for employees and employers. The conference program during the CareerDay fosters mutual exchange of ideas and thus becomes a dynamic platform for networking with the real estate sector.
Flexible Housing
The newly created Flexible Housing forum will be accompanied by an exhibition on affordable, resource-efficient, and sustainable living. The accompanying stage will host discussions on the urgent need for action and practical solutions for housing construction.
