On October 7th, the Logix-Award was presented to one of these logistics buildings at EXPO REAL 2019 in Munich:
The annual double-digit growth of online shopping is increasing the significance of logistics real estate and its public and social presence.
The Logix Award is designed to do justice to this development by awarding prizes to logistics properties that take equal account of economic and social interests and thus to boost their public reputation.
The Logix Award is being conferred for the fourth time. It honors logistics properties that have strong ecological, urban planning, and social credentials.
Another important criterion for a logistics building to win a Logix Award is that it should satisfy the needs of users and investors equally.
The Logix Award will be awarded as a cooperation prize.
Anyone involved in the realization of a logistics property in Germany completed between September 2017 and August 2019 can take part: project developers, users, or owners.
Logix stands for Initiative Logistikimmobilien or Logistics Real Estate Initiative. Its goal is to increase the acceptance and status of logistics settlements in both professional circles and among the general public. Logistics distribution and storage centers are, after all, a fundamental precondition for a functioning economy and for the supply of goods.
The Initiative aims to increase awareness of the important functions of logistics—the third-largest economic sector. Besides the Logix Award, studies and research have also been initiated.
Logix includes: Aberdeen Asset Management Deutschland, Bayern LB, Bremer Bau, CBRE, Colliers, Deka Immobilien, Deutsche Logistik Holding, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, Dietz AG, Deutsche Logistik Holding, EXPO REAL, Fiege, Flex Lighting Solutions, Four Parx, Garbe, Goldbeck, Goodman, greenfield development, GSE, GSK Stockmann, HVB-UniCredit, Immogate, Immolox, JLL, Köster Bau, Lidl, Logicor, Logivest, Nuveen Real Estate, Panattoni, phase5, Realogis, RLI Investors, Robert C.
